Faction vehicles are the vehicles, owned and operated by the factions (armed paramilitary groups) in Just Cause 2.

Contents

DescriptionEdit

The vehicles can be seen throughout Panau and can assist the player if the local militia is around. Trying to be stealthy in a faction vehicle is like eating soup with a fork as the military will attack all faction vehicles on sight.

Faction strongholds will have always have two faction vehicles outside of the main gate. Strongholds are not the only places to find parked faction cars.

WeaponsEdit

Some of the cars (except the Dalton N90 and the Marten Storm III-2) have a driver seat, passenger seat and a gunner seat. This gunners seat allows the player to enter a first person view and fire a 360 angle around them. If shooting occurs, the faction characters will fight and if they survive will often drive away in other vehicles around them.

See also: Mounted Gun.

HeatEdit

If the gunner fires near military, the player will automatically gain heat. And the gunner will fire at all military forces in the area and often call on the player for assistance.

If any factions begins to fight with the military, the military will almost always win unless the player helps in the conflict, or unless the factions have mounted guns on several vehicles and the player is far enough from the shoot-out, because the military will call for backup to Rico's location, not to the faction's location. But even then the shoot-out would only be won at a low level of heat, when the heat disappears, or before the government backup arrives.

Once you have completed most of the story however, often a faction troop will have a submachine gun or a machine gun, this makes combat with just one patrol more even and they can kill the military with ease.
