The Delta 5H4 Boxhead is one of the four attack helicopters in Just Cause (1). A part of its name is often misspelled as "SH4" instead of "5H4".

Appearance

It's the smallest and most common attack helicopter. In fact, one to three of the green Guerrilla versions can be seen in the sky at all times. It has four seats, but you can never have a passenger.

It's based on the American attack helicopter MH-6 Little Bird but has a longer tail.

Performance

It's the second slowest (after the Jackson JC - 2 Alamo) and most fragile attack helicopter in the game, but has awesome maneuverability. Good for village and town liberations.

Survivability and armour

It will catch fire and explode from a single direct missile hit. It is also very much vulnerable to small arms fire.

Weapons

All versions have the same weapons: missiles which are shot one at a time, and machine-guns. Compared to other helicopters, these missiles are less accurate. Enemy Boxheads are only able to inaccurately fire non-homing missiles.

Black Hand	Black	Appears during some missions. Appears during some Guerrilla and Rioja sidemissions. These are not common though. One appears in the mission River of Blood, where it approaches from the direction of a Montano Cartel villa. On rare occasions, another can spawn.
Guerrillas	Green	1 to 3 of them can be seen in the sky at all time in "Guerrilla stable" Provinces. The airspace in other provinces is shared with Policía helicopters.
Montano Cartel	Purple	Appears during some Rioja sidemissions anytime and cartel villa liberations after Guadalicano Choo Choo, in place of the Huerta PA51 Aztek. 2 appear in the mission Field of Dreams. 1 appears in the mission River of Blood.
Agency	Black	Given in the mission Brothers in Arms. Another one appears in the final cutscene of Broadcast News, but that may well be the one used in Brothers in Arms, since it disappears after the mission. Tom or Maria may have came by the crossroads and recovered it.
San Esperito Police Department	Gray	3 appear in the mission "Good Cop, Bad Cop". You can obtain it by hopping out of the mounted gun as soon as the first one spawns, swimming to shore, and grappling onto it. Can sometimes appear in sidemissions.

Trivia

• It's strange that while not lacking in them, the only time the San Esperito Military uses them against the player is during the mission Devil's Drop Zone.
  • However, in the Just Cause Demo, the San Esperito Military uses them as their main pursuit helicopter, replacing the role of the HH-22 Savior in the full game.
• The Rioja Cartel is the only faction in Just Cause 1 that doesn't have a variant of this vehicle.
• This is one of only two vehicles in Just Cause (1) that starts with "D", the other being the Delta MAH-15 Chimaera.
• It bears some resemblance and is the predecessor to the UH-10 Chippewa.

Here is a rare example of the Guerrilla AI in a bad moment. The pilot somehow flew the chopper into the building without blowing up, and then "flipped" up right into this position. Seconds after this picture was taken, the pilot flew the chopper into a smokestack.
