The Burj Panau is a very tall skyscraper in Just Cause 2.

Description[]

It's the second tallest building in Panau, the tallest being the PBC Tower.

It looks like multiple towers stacked on top of each other, or like a building that has been sliced into pieces. There's a helicopter landing pad with a Rowlinson K22; an Armor part and a tall mast on the roof.

The height of the upper corner of the roof is about 475 m while the height including the mast is about 560 m.

The name seems to be a clear reference to the world's tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai (829.8 m at its highest point).

This building is also one of the few skyscrapers in Panau City to be unique, along with the Unnamed Panau City Skyscraper at X:6226; Y:13056, unlike buildings like Demam Tinggi Tower or Tangga Ke Syurga Tower, which both have at least one twin each in the city.

Basement[]

Like most buildings in the financial district, the tower is standing on a large "basement", a two-story section most likely containing garages and maintenance rooms, such as electrical transformers and storage areas. To the south, a closed entrance can be found. There are ramps leading up to the platform, where several shops can be found. Somewhere around there, a main entrance to the lobby is also to be found.

History[]

It's speculated that Papa Panay helped to build this tower as a symbol of the island. Now, it is speculated that Pandak "Baby" Panay uses it as one of the centers for Panau National Radio, in conjunction with the PBC Tower.

The skyscraper could have been the headquarters for the PBC, in the time of Papa Panay.

"Burj" is Arabic for "tower", making the name of this building "Panau Tower". The name is probably a homage to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which was known as the Burj Dubai prior to its official opening in January 2010 (two months before the JC2 North American release). The name may also hint at Islamic influence in Panau (which is strongly the case in today's real-life Indonesia and elsewhere in South and Southeast Asia.).

Location[]

In the Financial District of Panau City, just beside the M1 Highway, next to a junction at about X:5820; Y:13620. The tower can be spotted from a great distance. It can be identified even from West Tanah Raya.
