Gunung Hutan Merah is a military base in Just Cause 2.
Description[]
This is a usual forest camp, located aside a small paved road, west of the northern end of the Rajang river. It has a couple of small hangars, wooden Guard Towers at the entrance and several wooden barracks.
There are several steep hillsides on the side of the road passing outside the base. These hillsides can be used with a Sniper Rifle for a stealthy destruction of the base. It can be an alternative way to clear the base, instead of the more common close-combat. Wiping out all the soldiers at the base can be pretty difficult, because reinforcements can easily arrive from the close road. However, this is somewhat counter-balanced by the four Medicine Cabinets that can be found at this base, three of which are in close proximity to each other in the south-east corner of the complex. The camp is one of few that has four boxes of grenades, allowing you to obtain the maximum of 20 grenades in a single location.
According to Colonel Mo Zuo Itik's PDA info, this base is one of the best training camps in Panau and most members of the Panau Military consider serving here to be an honor. The name of the camp means "Red Forest Mountain" in both Malay and Indonesian.
