Re-Oppression is a game feature in Just Cause 3 available after completing Son of Medici.
Right-click on the icon of a liberated settlement/base to see those options.
Description[]
To re-oppress a location, it must be already liberated beforehand. Then, select "Re-oppress and Fast Travel" from the map icon. In addition to fast travelling there, the settlement will have all of its chaos objects and enemy presence restored.
When re-oppressing a regional CentCom base (either Corda Dracon: Centcom, Cima Leon: Centcom, or Falco Maxime: Centcom), the CentCom towers will sometimes reappear, but when the base is taken over, it disappears. Base-specific FOWs are inactive if the requisite missions have been completed.
The only settlements that can't be set to be "re-oppressed" are the Rebel Coves (as they were never oppressed in the first place), eDEN Airship, eDEN Extraction Site Alpha, eDEN Extraction Site Bravo and the Black Hand's Prisoner Processing Center.
Glitches[]

- The towers might stay intact after a re-oppressed CentCom base is liberated. If this happens, it's unknown if the towers will stay forever, or what.
- A re-oppressed military base might still keep its Rebellion markings on the buildings and Guard Towers.
Trivia[]
- According to the JC3 wishlists, it was one of the most commonly wanted features for the game, among multiple Grappler cables, free Black Market and Just Cause 3 Multiplayer.
- Re-Oppression of towns, outposts, or bases will not affect the province it is in. The province will stay liberated.
- It also won't affect unlocked rewards for completing settlements, such as Rebel drop weapons and vehicles, or challenges. These will remain available.
