Satellite Station: Farad is an offshore rig in Just Cause 3. It is part of the Bavarium Sea Heist DLC.
Description[]
It's a medium sized offshore rig in the waters of Scolio. It was owned by the eDEN Corporation, but the Black Hand overtook the station some time after the corporation's bankruptcy.
The in-game map description states: "Like the central Stingray facility and the other Satellite Stations, Farad bears the marks of the final hours of the Stingray research network. During an experiment that went out of control, the imposing Atmospheric Modulator and the lightning harnessing device at its core - the eDEN Spark - caused a huge electrical storm to engulf the whole base. All personnel were presumed killed, and Stingray vanished from the face of the Earth."
Location[]
The station is located in Medici's western ocean, in the province of the Stingray Area, within the Scolio region.
Completion[]
- 4 Weather Buoys.
- 2 Storm Manipulators.
- 3 Climate Controllers.
- 5 Fuel Tanks.
- 4 Satellite Dishes.
Other destructible items:
- Red Barrels.
- Small Destructibles.
- Naval mines.
- 2 SAMs owned by the Black Hand. They disappear after the outpost is captured.
Vehicles[]
- Urga Hroch next to a platform.
- A Corvette under Black Hand control guarding the outpost before liberation.
Trivia[]
- Like other Stingray satellite stations, it is named after an electrical unit. Farads are used to measure ability of a body to store an electrical charge.
- After liberating the station, Rico will say, "One step closer to getting my eDEN Spark.".
