Eels[]
Just out of curiosity, what does the "eels" thing mean? BTW - sorry for removing it, I accidentally deleted it when trying to edit the above piece of trivia. WiseGuyRich (talk) 17:29, January 20, 2015 (UTC)
- Eels in a hovercraft is a reference to a sketch on Monty Python, a famous comedy show from England. That comedy show completely changed the way people think of televised comedy and is therefore a very important part of cultural history in the english speaking world. The eel sketch mentions eels on a hovercraft and started a myth that eels are attracted to hovercraft. Since then several actual small companies have been reported to have been started in England (and presumably elsewhere) that claim to specialize in eel removal from hovercraft. The sketch at youtube.
