The USV 45 Sokoł is a weapon in Just Cause 3.

Description

It's a sniper rifle. It seems to be based on the SVD Dragunov and the Zastava M76. "FA Cal 7.62" is written on the side, indicating that it uses 7.62 caliber ammo.

The Rebel drop description says "The Sokol sports high damage, but suffers from high recoil as well. Not that it matters, because one shot from this thing can put a hole through someone."

Performance

Really powerful from distances. Although that can be expected from sniper rifles.

Its semi-average rate of fire makes it kind of useful in close quarters, but again, this is a sniper rifle, so it is better to pick off enemies from afar.

Locations

• Can be unlocked at the rebel drop by clearing Vigilator Nord.
• Carried by Medici Military snipers as their standard weapon.
• Wielded by two Rebellion members at Grotta Contrabandero.
• Rarely seen used by Rebellion soldiers during Missile Cowboy, Tangled Up In Blue and The Shatterer of Worlds. These can only be seen from snipers aboard Rebellion CS Comets.
• Black Hand snipers use it in the Mech Land Assault DLC.
• A male grunt soldier at Vigilator Sud and Le Tutor can be seen wielding this weapon, but strangely he doesn't seem to fire it.

Trivia

• Sokół means Falcon in Czech, Slovak, Russian and Polish.
• Other sniper rifles in Just Cause 3 are the CS110 Archangel and Final Argument.
• Judging by its name, it is made by the fictional Urga company.
• The successors to this weapon are the Zopilote Sniper Rifle and LRD-3 Sniper in Just Cause 4. This weapon itself is the successor to the Sniper Rifle from Just Cause 2.
