Rico Rodriguez is a man of mystery, but there's more to the Just Cause protagonist than meets the eye. With Just Cause 3 hitting stores on December 1st, Wikia thought it was high time to shed some light on the high-flying hero with a series of Rico Rodriguez Fan Facts!
1. Rico Joined The Agency, a covert arm of the CIA, when he was only 18 years old.
2. His nickname is “Scorpio” in Panau and “Fratre” in Medici.
3. Rico's parents were killed while escaping a coup in Medici.
4. Rico was a race-car driver before joining The Agency.
5. Rico tracked his ally, Sheldon, through Panau after he was suspected of going rogue.
6. In Just Cause 3, Rico has left The Agency. He travels back to his home country, Medici, to overthrow the dictatorship of General Sebastiano Di Ravello.
7. Here's how developer Avalanche has described Rico: "[He is] the child of one thousand comic books and action movies. He is James Bond, Mad Max, Jason Bourne, El Mariachi, Wolverine, Punisher, Rambo, Tony Montana and Han Solo all rolled into one. With a touch of Enrique Iglesias to top it all off."
8. On the other hand, Dr. Otto Kleiner described Rico as an "ugly troll" in the first Just Cause game.
9. Rico has a tattoo of a scorpion on his upper arm.
10. Players with sharp eyes might notice a little something special on the bottom of Rico’s boot while wingsuiting: the Avalanche Studios logo.
